My favourite artist would have to be my Aunt Jeanette, who's subjects are typically Ukrainian Canadian Immigrants. I'm a second generation Ukrainian Canadian, you can read more about my heritage here.
Not the best photograph, sorry! I wish I had more of Aunt Jeanette's pictures to show you, but this is the only one in my home. She does a fabulous job of portraying people, and I wish I had an example of that work to show you.

I loved the pretty vibrant colour of this flower, and had to snap a picture. I "arted" it up a bit tonight in my Photo Impression program.
This next picture is the same bridge I showed you here:
Show us your favorite animal.
Inspired by the Emporer.
I guess my favourite animal would be the cat, specifically, my two tabby cats. I am however a reformed cat hater. I admit that I used to hate cats. I was a dog person, not at all interested in cats. When we bought our house ten years ago, Joe wanted a cat. I figured it was his house too, how could I say no? We picked out a cute grey kitten at the SPCA. The day we were to bring him home, I was grumbling at work about how we had to go get this stupid cat. Then we brought him home, and took him out of his carrier. I was in the kitchen, and he walked right up to me. I was in love. I've never looked back since. Sadly, just over a year later, this particular kitty was hit by a car and killed. I was devestated. We now have indoor cats, our street is just too busy. Our cats are very happy inside.
I thought of posting just a picture of my kitty Buttons. Sadly, we had to have our beloved Bambi put to sleep in May. I'm still very raw about this. Bambi had been an adult cat rescued from the SPCA. We grew to love her very much. When we lost her, we brought another adult cat, Frisbee home. He's a lovely cat with a great fun personality, but we just aren't attached to him quite yet in the way we were to our Bambi. I know it will come though.
I guess I'm kind of off topic here. Here's Frisbee and Buttons:
