Cranky in the morning, approach with caution.
Great day today, because as of 4:30 this afternoon, I'm on VACATION! I've only had two half days as vacation goes so far this year. It was by choice because of a work opportunity, so it's all good. But I have lots of time that HAD to be used up, so bring it on! I don't go back to work until January 8th (except I work one day, December 12, but no biggy), how great is that? Nothing specific planned at this point. Joe has a new job, so if the work continues, we'll stay close to home. He'll go out to work and I'll stay home and play Susie Homemaker, craft, get ready for Christmas (which we'll be spending at my parents this year). And sadly, I have a friend whose Mom has cancer and now requires 24 hour care. So I'll be helping this friend out, doing stuff with her kids, doing the school drop off and pick up some days.

A quick shopping trip today yielded two t-shirts and a blouse. Also brand new is my latest knitted cardigan, currently blocking on the kitchen table.
November 11th is Remembrance Day here in Canada, and as it approaches, I'm finding myself somewhat emotional. I'm thinking of the Great Poem, In Flander's Fields. I remember it being read through the PA system of my Elementary School as school was dismissed the day before Remembrance Day. It's an emotional poem to this day.
As I get older though, I think more about peace, and realize that I am a Pacifist. And so this morning as I drove myself to work, I found myself humming John Lennon's great lyrics:
